The Feldheim Publishers is a family-owned and operated publishing house since 1939. When Philipp Feldheim escaped the tragic horrors of the Holocaust and arrived in New York City, he established a modest bookstore on the Lower East Side. At that time, Jewish books were hard to come by, and the ones he obtained were eagerly purchased by customers thirsting for Torah literature. Mr. Feldheim recognized the growing need for authentic Hebraica and Judaica, and his small enterprise expanded and produce English translations of Hebrew texts, making them accessible to an English-speaking public. Alongside this important work, he also published high-quality texts of Jewish law, Jewish thought and philosophy; also books for young readers and novels for adults.
Eighteen months ago it acquired the Yefe Nof Publishers.
